Really liked this place, it was nice to walk around and had tons of parking. Used the Nature Pass here as well and it is great.

There is a large reservoir here that is used for recreation. You can boat or swim in the water, it’s not huge but big enough and is loaded with families out on day trips. We walked all the trail lengths here, it didn’t take very long and there were a few really nice spots on the Reflection and Campground Loop trails. The Dam trail is right out in the open and it gets a little warm in the sun.
This was not my first time at the Binbrook Conservation Area. In 2019, seven of my family members including myself took part in the Mud Girl run. It was so much fun to participate in this with my mother, aunts, cousins, and their children. It looks a bit different without the start and finish line.

This is a beautiful place, the treetop adventures/zip lines, and an obstacle course in the water at the beach all make for a wonderful day! I try to share information and I’ve imparted my knowledge to my office, “TAKE OUT THE NATURE PASS” and check out the local conservation areas as it is a close, inexpensive day for family fun and the company is footing the bill for parking.
There were plenty of birds that we heard but not many came right out to be seen. This little guy, I am sure is a flycatcher but I can’t say exactly which one. Maybe Quen will have better luck,

Clearly at one point we walked right off the map, it wasn’t very long before we came across people with several large dogs so we turned around.

Binbrook Map:

Facilities that can be found at Binbrook include a swimming beach, children’s splash pad, picnic facilities, nature trails, observation platforms and a play area. It resembles cottage country, and the impressive part is, it’s close to home!
