We took a day trip to Bronte Creek Provincial Park to hike and see some birds. It seems like Bronte Creek is a great place for birding and is an amazing scenic walk in the fall. We saw several birds but it seems the park mostly has raptors like red-tailed hawks, cooper’s hawks, owls and really there are a lot of different song birds as well. We got to see Bluebirds, Dark eyed Junkos, and a red-bellied woodpecker.
There are a lot of trails to hike while at Bronte Creek Provincial Park, I believe nine in total. The trails seem to overlap each other and it’s easy to skip from one to the other. It’s a great idea to make sure you have a trail map with you when walking the park.
There is one section of the trails that are really spectacular and it’s the trail with all the bird feeders on it. It seems that many people have placed feeders and bird houses for the local birds to use. There is also a small bird feeder station where you can stop and watch the small birds.
