Ducks in the snow at Dufferin Island in Niagara Falls

We were out on a trail at Dufferin Islands in Niagara Falls doing our usual birdwatching and exploring for waterfowl and ducks. This little Duck troop was just coming up from the water. They marched in a line and then seemed to have been slowed by the snow. The ducks were up to their bellies in snow and it seemed like they had a hard time walking.

I have been to Dufferin Islands in Niagara Falls many times to hike the trails and do a little bird watching. As a birdwatcher it is a great place to go, take a small walk and explore the nature around you. There were so many birds flying and swimming around us it was amazing. You can always count on Dufferin Island in Niagara Falls to have some ducks around or birds at the feeders along the trail.
