Set to We can change the world by the Symphony of Science this is a video showing the construction of the Youngs Sports Complex in Welland Ontario. We can Change the World, and We’re Already Doing Something About It! The solar installation there is designed to feed power into the grid. These are high efficiency solar panels manufactured in Welland Ontario.
This is a large system using Santerno inverters. Through innovation, technology and diligence we can actually do something to make a change in the world. As we progress towards cleaner energy we will make mistakes but things will change for the better. We will improve on energy efficient solar panels and their manufacturing. In turn we will develop better systems that store and move power around the world bringing about massive change.
I have personally been to places that never had electricity before and once bringing solar energy to these locations you change the lives of everyone.
Since opening in 2012, Youngs Sportsplex has not only elevated the sport scene in the City of Welland, but across the entire Niagara Region!
The multi-sport complex features:
- 4 indoor tennis courts.
- 1 indoor FIFA-regulation sized soccer field. Divisible by 3 smaller 100′ x 200′ soccer fields.
- 3 outdoor artificial turf fields.
- 2 outdoor grass fields
These impressive accommodations provide patrons a year-round option to train and play across a variety of sport offerings. Owned by the City of Welland and operated by OVG360 Youngs Sportsplex is as diverse as they come, boasting a variety of programs, leagues, and activities that span the sporting landscape.
